Congressman Trey Gowdy has made a name for himself putting liberal looneys in their place, and he did not disappoint during a recent interview with Fox News this weekend. This time, the target of the South Carolina lawmaker’s wrath was Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who has been outspoken in his support of the Trump-Russia investigation, and other Capitol Hill Dems who are content to pass judgment on our President without having any facts before them.
“Some of my Democratic colleagues, namely Adam Schiff, said he had evidence, more than circumstantial evidence of collusion, before the investigation even began,” Gowdy told his interviewers. “I mean, keep that in mind,” he went on. “The ranking member, the ranking Democrat on the House Intel Committee had evidence of collusion before we interviewed our very first witness.”
He then turned his wrath on the hypocrisy of the Democratic party as a whole, reminding viewers “you know, this time last year, Democrats wanted Comey prosecuted. Remember that? Harry Reid wanted him prosecuted. They were furious with the FBI. And now when we have a chance to go back and better understand the decisions they made and didn’t make, there’s a total lack of curiosity on behalf of my Democrat colleagues, which I just find stunning.”
“I have been frankly stunned at how little curiosity my Democrat colleagues and how little curiosity some elements of the mainstream media have in the decisions that our nation’s chief law enforcement agency and top prosecutors have made,” Gowdy stated. “The people in the House seem to have already made up their minds, and they’re just going in search of evidence that validates or ratifies what they already believe.”
Congressman Gowdy seems to confirm what many of us already knew about the Democratic party and their crazed leftist supporters: they have no facts to support their theories, but will fight like mad to defend them, going to great lengths and even lying at times to make them seem true. As more and more evidence stacks up even the most radical liberals will, in time, be forced to face the inevitable truths and realize that they were wrong all along. Whether or not they actually accept the truth, however, will be an entirely different story.
What do you think of Rep. Gowdy’s statements? Do you agree with him?
